Thursday evening was my first meeting with a new client and I'm really looking forward to working with David and Miranda from DC Property Photography based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
David is a property photographer who has been in the business for over 10 years working across East Anglia. And not only does David take traditional photographs but he also offers 3D photography producing high quality virtual tours of properties.
I have known David and Miranda for over a year now but it was still important for me to represent my brand in a professional manner but not to come across too corporate. I changed my black business dress for a more relaxed chino and white shirt combo and met them in the beer garden of a lovely local pub close to where they live for a drink and chat (non alcoholic of course, it was business, maybe a glass of prosecco on meeting number 2).
I would suggest if you're meeting a new client for the first time consider your meeting venue. First impressions count. Depending on who you're meeting, would a coffee shop be too relaxed or maybe consider the lounge area of a bar / restaurant and if you're going to their place of work do your research, get a feel for their brand.
After meeting with David and Miranda, my mind was racing on the drive home with lots of ideas of how I can help raise awareness of their business and generate more leads. Now it's time to put pen to paper, finalise our agreement and get to work. I'm sure I'll share more updates with you in the coming weeks as I get to work on their social media and outreach marketing plan.
